This document makes an approach to the study of the evolution of residential segregation in Montevideo, measured by racial-ethnical ascendetion, education and working market. The analysis has its basis on the results of the Duncan’s Dissimilarity Index and Exposure and Isolation Index. This calculation is based on data of the Continuous Homes Surveys, grouped by three years variables, for the period between 2006 and 2017. The evidence found suggests that the residential segregation of the afro-descendent population decrease in a significant way in the analyzed period. On the other hand, in the case of the variables of education and working market, it is found a significant increase of the residential segregation for some of the variables analyzed.
